Spanish Consulate Los Angeles
5055 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 860
Los Angeles, CA 90036
The Spanish Consulate in Los Angeles has some of the more stringent requirements, and their website clearly states that incorrect or incomplete applications will be rejected during the interview. (Interpret that to mean, start over with a completely new appointment that might take a couple months to schedule.) On the up side, this consulate gets kudos for most clearly delineated instructions, including very specific details on translation expectations and a thorough FAQ page. They even offer the option to make a short appointment (10 to 15 minute window) to speak to a consulate employee with questions before your formal application appointment.?If you live close by and want the security of an eyeball check on your information before formally applying, take advantage of it. But fret not, their all around thoroughly outlined instructions plus their responsiveness to my emails clarifying details make me confident that following my checklist to the letter will set you right.
