Jurisdiction: Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia, Washington, D.C. and West Virginia.
Lucky all you aspiring expats living in this jurisdiction. This consulate gets the award for easiest application process, cheapest cost and fastest turn around time. Hands down!
They even offer return of visas by mail. That means one trip instead of two if you’re coming from far away.
Application Instructions per Consulate can be found here.
Appointment required. When you have your paperwork ready, email [email protected] to request an appointment.
I’d recommend emailing them before you start gathering documents to ask what the lead time is to secure an appointment. You don’t want any of your docs going stale should they be booked out a while
The only inconsistency I found is that their requirements do not specify including an EX01 form. People I know who have applied here tell me they supplied one. Bring one blank copy for each family member just in case and fill it out while you’re there should they ask.
My FREE checklist has all the juicy details on translation needs, doc issue dates, and all manner of bureaucratic minutiae!
Just fill out the form and it’s yours!
(And it goes without saying, I promise, no spam ever!)
